What You Can Do to Elect Chris Hoy to the Salem City Council

Our candidate Chris Hoy is in a race with three other candidates for the vacant seat in Ward 6. If he gets the most votes he will be elected (there is no runoff).

To ensure that he gets the most votes Progressive Salem will be canvassing with Chris, knocking on doors throughout Ward 6 to let them know who is the most qualified candidate to be a strong voice for them on the City Council. We need to knock on hundreds of doors. You can participate. The first opportunity will be on January 28th and 29th when we will be having a Progressive Salem Super Canvass for Chris. A super canvass brings out many volunteers to hit hundreds of households. We offer training if you have never canvassed before and even a partner if you want one. The super canvasses on January 28th and 29th will both begin with a meet up at 1 pm at the Marion County Democrats headquarters, 250 Liberty Street in downtown Salem. After canvassing we will meet again to turn in our sheets and socialize at the Taproot Lounge, 365 State Street at around 3:30pm. If you want to participate just send an email to  Mike Hughes <hughes.m@comcast.net> and let him know that you want to join us. We’d love to see you there.

You can also make a donation to Chris Hoy’s campaign. Go to this online donation form to use your credit card or send a check to Chris Hoy for Salem, PO Box 8278, Salem, OR 97303. Your donation will be used for yard signs, walk pieces, and mailers to inform Ward 6 voters about their choices in the March 14th election.
